Are you ever concerned that your children may be making poor choices when it comes to modern technology? Are they being safe while using their cell phones, home computers and social media?

Ten years ago none of the following were a part of our language. Now they are common terms that our kids are very familiar with.

  • Cyberbullying
  • Facebook
  • Textual Harassment
  • Sexting
  • Internet Urban Legends
  • Internet Identity Theft
  • Social Networking
  • Cell Phone Safety
  • Online Posting
  • Online Predators
  • Digital Citizenship and Internet Shaming

On Thursday, October 21st, 2021 at 6:30pm, Evergreen Youth & Family Services will be hosting an entertaining, informational and educational seminar in partnership with ISD31 on Cyber Safety & Digital Citizenship. This session is intended for audiences grade 6 to adult.

This seminar will be led by Kent Mollberg. Mollberg is an educator of 30+ years, a teacher who has taught from kindergarten to seniors in high school, an athletic coach, and most importantly a parent of two children. Mollberg has a master’s degree in information technology and has created this seminar after witnessing firsthand some of the internet dangers that modern students confront on a daily basis.

This session will address each of these modern safety issues. Issues that our children confront on a daily basis. We encourage you to attend this seminar to learn about modern technology and what we can do to help our children safely navigate the internet and technology highway.

This event is free to the public. Registration is encouraged.

COVID-19 Updates: CDC guidelines will be followed at this event. Mask wearing and social distancing will be in place.
